Aquamarine

Aquamarine is a variety of beryl stone. Aquamarine's name comes from the Latin for seawater and it was said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea. It comes in many color shades, dark blue to slightly greenish blue. This gemstone mainly comes from Brazil, but it also comes from Nigeria, Madagascar, Zambia and Mozambique. Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It is believed to help with bronchitis, colds, hay fever, and various allergies. It is a calming, soothing, and cleansing gemstone.
